LIKE A MIST

“Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, and carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life: You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” (James 4:13-14)

The last time I saw her was at a Bible Lectureship on the campus of Pepperdine University in Malibu about two years ago. The Lectureship is going on again this week and Gwen was probably planning to go. She died last night around 8:00.

“Just as man is destined to die once…” (Hebrews 9:27

The Bible makes it very clear that we are going to die. It also makes it clear that death could come at any moment.

We need to live in the moment—in Christ.

Once again, I too have lost someone in my life. Guess it is only natural that the longer I live the more people I lose. I HATE that mist.
