THE HIGH COST OF ANXIETY

Saturday, June 10, 2006

Anxiety divides up our energy. We can't keep our mind on today's priorities because we are worried about tomorrow's problems. The result is half-minded living.

Worry is not a disease, but it causes diseases. It has been connected to high blood pressure, heart trouble, blindness, migraine headaches, thyroid malfunctions, and a host of stomach disorders.

Anxiety is an expensive habit that doesn't work. Our frets are futile.

Jesus said, "You cannot add any time to your life by worrying about it." (Matthew 6:27).

Writer, Max Lucado said, "Worry has never brightened a day, solved a problem, or cured a diesease."
