TUESDAY MORNING COMING DOWN

Tuesday, March 24, 2009

The stock market was up yesterday, big time.

Maybe the economy is turning around. Let's go over to Coco's for breakfast.

Yep. Lots of people there. It must be a sign of good things to come.

Somebody forgot to tell management. Too few waitresses. Too many customers.

It was fun for those of us not working. I felt sorry for the waitresses.

I wore my "No Spin" cap but it didn't help. Coco's is not a "No Spin Zone."

We heard it all: What to do about the President, the economy, the war, the Cardinals, the Diamondbacks, the Suns and the weather. I wanted to ask the guy in the next booth what to do about the ice maker in our refrigerator but I was afraid my "No Spin" cap might affect his answer.

When you wake up feeling like you can afford to go out for breakfast or not caring whether you can afford it or not--where do you go? Honestly, I would like to know. And what do you eat when you get there. They (whoever that is) say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
So, where do you go for breakfast when you eat out. Tell me. I really want to know.

Hi, Cliff:
I do enjoy eating breakfast out most of all. Ummm, I've got an idea about this for a new post. lol. I love Coco's! They have one in Flag and I love it when my hubby will agree to join me. I love their hamburgers. Hey, I found a website for you:

I'm making the Bavarian Pot Roast today. You should smell my kitchen. It's wonderful.
Have a great day, regardless of the economy. I know you will.

We rarely go out for breakfast but sometimes it just sounds so good! Caleb's choice would be the donut shop!
I like to go to IHOP and get pancakes with fruit on them, preferrably strawberries.

Don't eat breakfast out very ofter. However, we were back in Columbus Georgia for our son's (Nathan) graduation from Ranger School (Army not Park) and we ate at Cracker Barrell. Biscuits and gravy...yummmm. Great service, great food and great company.

;-) Breakfast is one of our favorite times to eat out because it is one of the cheapest meals. We like going to the eggsRup grill because they have oatmeal and fresh fruit and good coffee ---all pretty healthy stuff.

We don't eat out often as my husband likes to get up at 5:00, and there's no meal worth that! However, if I could tell you about a DREAM breakfast--where calories and diabetes doesn't count--I'd go to Denny's and get a grand slam with no sausages, only crispy bacon. Yum.

We rarely go out to eat for any meal. However, we have two favorite places for breakfast, but they won't help you as they are exclusive to our area. They are the Pancake Farm and Shady Maple Smorgasbord. Shady Maple is an all-you-can-eat place with MANY choices. A place we like for breakfast that you might find near you is Bob Evans. As far as what to eat, I can't tell you. I love breakfast food -- to me it's all good.

We like LaPeeps - do they have one there? Otherwise IHOP is pretty good.
Often on Sunday after Church, we stop at a place where we can get a breakfast.
Happy Eating.

Clif,
After church on Sundays, a group of us go out to local diners or cafes for breakfast. My current favorite breakfast is a short stack of blueberry pancakes! So good!

Hi Clif!

Before moving waaaaay out west, we used to love breakfast-ing nearby at the 40th Street Cafe (off of Greenway. Nothing fancy, but great food and home-spun atmosphere ... "where everybody knows your name." Hubby swears their biscuits and gravy are the best in the universe!

Kelly must live near me because I was going to tell you about Shady Maple too. It is such a grand place that bus loads of people come from New York and New Jersey just to experience such a special meal. Yes, even though the economy is suffering, no one is suffering at Shady Maple unless it is the dish washers!

My husband is the director of training of Associated Builders and Contractors. Yesterday he visited 19 of his companies who are just around here. He said that they were so busy that they could not stop to talk to him. They were not busy working but busy trying to get work. Only one business said that this is their best year yet and they have so much business, they cannot get it all done.

Those men still eat! Country Table is a favorite place for the men to have a wonderful Western Omelette with cheese, coffee, home fries, Belgium Waffles and hotcakes. Every morning the trucks are backed into parking spaces in perfect order while the men talk and eat. If you are hungry for a good breakfast, Lancaster County, PA is the place to eat!

My husband LOVES to go out for breakfast! We usually go to Cracker Barrel, everything there is good, sometimes I get their pecan pancakes, a hard decision between that and biscuits and gravy!

When we travel and find an IHOP, I order their Harvest Pancakes, they add granola to their buttermilk pancake batter, love it!

I'm not a morning person and prefer eating breakfast in my pj's at home. Lots of times hubby surprises me with a "full breakfast" (bacon, eggs, etc.) on our lanai (overlooking the lake in the back!)

Hubby is an early riser (5:30 a.m.) He always has my tea cup, tea bag, and water ready for me when I arise! Sweet!
