HARD WORKING WAITRESS

Thursday, December 24, 2009

Cheryl works the breakfast shift at Coco's restaurant.

She moves quickly from table to table--never stopping to rest. She smiles, speaks kindly and does everything efficiently. She doesn't snap gum in her mouth or call you "Sweetie," or "Darlin."  She just sees you and respects you.

SHE IS A WORKER!

I admire and respect people who know their job and do it.

We live in the age of the "goof-off" but Cheryl refuses to participate in that.

I heard her say she has to work Christmas day. She wasn't complaining she just responded to a question.

Orchids to all our hard workers!

Merry Christmas and may God bless you richly.

Neat post, Clif. Sounds like a great worker, and a person Jesus would have stopped to chat with. One of the unsung heroes of today, someone who works hard and honestly earns their keep. Neat post.

Hope you have a great Christmas. And thanks again for the nice music you have on this site. I sometimes leave this page open to listen to it while I work in the office.

What a sweet post to a waitress server. So many times people mistreat those in service jobs. My dad owned a restaurant and I worked at it when I was a teenager, so I empathize with them.

Thank you for the nice Christmas wish. My husband and I are spending Christmas without our children this year (a first!) It's okay though, we are having a relaxing holiday and concentrating on Jesus' birth and the true meaning of Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you, Charlotte, and your family!

What a thoughtful post. THere are people who do their jobs every day, including Christmas, that we take for granted.
God bless you.
