GOD INTENDED IT FOR GOOD

Friday, April 16, 2010

One of my favorite Scriptures in all of the Bible is Genesis 50:20

"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good..." NIV

Have you ever been falsely accused, wrongly imprisoned, ignored and maligned.

Have any or all of these things happened to you?

I have been falsely accused, ignored and maligned. And I didn't like it one bit!

When bad "stuff" is happening to us we feel sorry for ourselves and wonder where God is and why He is allowing this to happen to us.

When I am "down in the dumps" or "have the blues" this Scripture always helps.

Yes, there's no getting around it, this is bad. BUT God.....

BUT GOD INTENDED IT FOR GOOD.

And when I look back--- and I have had a lot of time to look back, every time IT has been for my good.

Thank you God!

This is one of my favorite scriptures also, Clif. Isn't it good to know that God wants only what is best for us even though it seems difficult at the time? We need an eternal perspective!

Blessings,

Jane

Sometimes, I keep saying "nothing is fair here" but when I get reminded just like right now with what you shared, I calm down and get comforted by His awesome promises. Knowing He is my Defender! God bless.

This is a scripture that the Lord has opt brought to my mind when I have gone to him in prayer . He says Trust , me , Believe what I say is true . In time or eternity ,you will see how I have always worked everything for your good .

Can I ever relate to this post. Soo many times when I was just sure He was not hearing me at all...only to realize later that it REALLY WAS for my own good. Thanks for this reminder. Have a wonderful week-end. BLESSINGS

Alleluia. Amen. There was a time, in my recent past, that I experienced this. God used it for His glory and His purpose, and the blessings in my life overflowed.
Thank you, Jesus.

I can agree with this. Sometimes we need to stop and look at a situation and when we do, as I did recently, we sometimes see the Masters Hand shaping us a little more. As long as there is gain from pain...
God bless your sharing.

Yes Clif, I can relate to these things. Just a few weeks ago, I wrote in my journal of a time in my life where I was falsely accused of thing...and then some. As much as I hated going through that time, God used those circumstances to bring about good. I can now look back and see that.

Blessings to you,

Joan

Amen...God's time-line...with the good and the bad...always culminates in victory! It is always so humbling to look back and see how His hand moved...even when I felt alone....

Hi Clif,
It's never pleasant going through trials but it is a comfort to know that He is always with us. As wonderful as the mountain top is, we would never truly appreciate it if we never spent time in the valley. Thanks for another great post.

Blessings,
Sandi

I love this verse too. It seems whenever I come across it, it is a time I need to read it and be reminded that God can use what I'm going through for His good. I always like to look back afterwards and see how God worked in situations that seemed bad at the time I was going through them.

This is so true...even though it's hard to understand, or see when we're going through a situation. Thank you for sharing this.

Clif, Thanks for those words. This past week I had my bank account info stolen. God used the experience to remind me that my identity cannot be stolen, because my TRUE identity is in Him. God bless you.

Awesome and inspiring Bible verses - both Joseph's words as well as "BUT GOD." As I sit here with a mega sinus infection (tho getting better :) ), I am blessed to know that God can use even this for His glory! Thanks for a lovely reminder! :)

My Pastor often says that,"God can win with any hand!" No matter what the circumstance He can turn it around for our good. Thanks for the reminder, Clif!
