LOVE STANDS BATTERED BUT UNBEATEN

"Love never gives up, never loses faith,
is always hopeful, and endures through
every circumstance. Love will last forever,..."
                                                                                  1 Corinthians 13:7-8

We need to love and be loved.

All the news today is about William and Kate. Everybody knows who they are and why they are making the news.

Love is in the air.

The love these two young people have for each other is good.  But today I want to center on God's love for an undeserving humanity.

The greatest thing I can think of  is that God loves you and me.

"For God so loved the world
that he gave his one and only Son,"
                                                                                           John 3:16

That's it! That's the greatest thing I know. God loves you and me!

  7. This realization never fails to humble me!
Sometimes, when struggling to rationalize His unconditional love, there's such comfort recalling my parents' words, "Ours is not to understand, but simply, accept."

  8. Hi Clif,

I am continually overwhelmed by the capacity of God's love; it is both precious and humbling.

    John also declares:
"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!..." (1 John 3:1, NIV) -- We are children of God through His love!

    Blessings and peace.

  14. So unworthy, yet God freely gave His love to me in the form of His Son. And daily I see the blessings that overflow from God's love.

  15. I can't imagine losing my mother as a child. I hope you had others who stepped in to give you all the love you needed.

It's precious for you to honor your wife. I have no doubt she was a special mother.
