"Rather, the Lord's delight is in those who honor him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love." NLT
You want to please God? Then honor him!
As the Apostle Paul said in Ephesians 5:10 "Figure out what will please Christ, and then do it." Msg
The Bible says, "Noah was a pleasure to the Lord." Genesis 6:8 LB
Noah pleased God because he trusted Him completely. He believed that God knew what was best for him. He had faith in God.
The Bible says, "Without faith it is impossible to please God." Hebrews 11:6 NIV
Notice that powerful word "impossible." It means you absolutely cannot please God without faith. It can't be done!
He knows what is best for you. Trust Him. Please Him. He will smile--and so will you.
Amen!
ReplyDeleteYes, Amen! God is so amazing. How can we not trust Him?
ReplyDeleteHow true!
ReplyDeleteSome days I definately do not please or honor HIM but then I repent like today and He strengthens me and my faith! He is so amazing that way!

That's what I'm praying for...to please no one else but Him alone. Daily. Then, He is the One Who sustains what I need to have in order to accomplish that goal in the first place. Awesome God! God bless you.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a profound truth to get your head around in some ways. To think that is all it takes to please Him, is to trust Him. Wonderful. Thanks for this, Debbie

ReplyDeleteAnd what a gift..that He is the one who gives us the faith that is necessary to please Him. Truly He loves us and does meet all our needs in order to trust.
ReplyDeleteGreat reminder.
For some reason this reminds me of Mother Thera's words, "I find it hard sometimes to smile at Jesus. He can be very demanding."
