THE PRESIDENT COMES TO TOWN

Wednesday, February 18, 2009

The President of the United States is in Arizona today.

He spent the night here last night and as I type this he is making a speech at a school in Mesa.

I didn't vote for him. I can't stand his liberal views.

But I am glad that he and his speech is being so well received this morning. I wish him well.

I want him to succeed. I want us to succeed. I want the United States of America to be great.

I despised the way President Bush was treated. I want President Obama to be treated well.

I pray for our President. I pray for our nation. I try to do whatever I can to make this world a better place. I leave the results in the hands of God.

I'm still upset at the lack of respect for President Bush. I did not vote for President Obama either, but I pray for him, and I respect him. Perhaps our Christianity is showing!

I like your blog, however I disagree this time on what you wrote!
Yes, I also do want the president (who reflects all of us to the world) to be treated with respect, but I have to say, that I do NOT want him to succeed. If he does succeed with his vision for America and what he wants to accomplish, then we will have Socialism and more Abortions on a grander scale, among other things we as Christians stand against. I would want him to succeed however if he were to stand against Abortion, especially the cruelest of all - Partial Birth Abortion; a smaller government, and a vision for America which will bring us back to it's roots the way the founders had envisioned it to be. Thanks for allowing me to respectfully voice my opinion! :-)

I love the words you wrote. My family and I are in Arizona, and I can tell you we also share your passion that the Lord would have His way in the destiny for our city, our nation and the World. My prayer is that our full destiny would be reached in Christ. Blessings to you and your beautiful wife!-Kathy
