GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DINNER

Saturday night I watched it for the umpteenth time—the movie, Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner. Why do I like it so much? I have been trying to figure it out. I think it’s because of the great actors: Spencer Tracy, Katherine Hepburn and Sidney Poitier.

I knew I had seen the movie many times and I knew that it was an oldie. But I did not realize that it was forty years old. It was Hollywood’s first movie about interracial marriage. Young people will not feel the impact and the tension of the movie because they were born into and grew up in a different period. They have no background to be emotionally concerned about interracial marriage.

It is a good movie with fantastic acting. I hope to see it again!
