Many times--in fact most of the time, anticipation of an event brings more joy than the actual event--even Christmas.
We get excited about a tasty meal, a movie, a sporting event, Christmas. But all such joys are fleeting.
The apostle Paul prays for the Romans, "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." (Romans 15:13).
Real joy comes when we find and accept Jesus Christ and His kingdom by faith in Him.

Clif,
I'm so glad you stopped by today and told me to post this tomorrow. I was actually (NO KIDDING) standing at my sink a few minutes ago telling the Lord that I wanted to post something and that I had so many ideas in my head and so little time to sit down and bring them together. I asked Him this question, "Lord, what can I post that will magnify You?"
Then, I sat down to get a chicken and dumplings recipe off of the internet and thought I would check my email quickly...and there was your comment.
Thanks for being a DIRECT AND ABRUPT answer to prayer.
God bless you and may you have a Happy Spiritual Sunday tomorrow!!
Thanks for your comment! I'll have to link to the Spiritual Sundays.
And then, we anticipate Heaven!
