DON'T FORGET TO SAY "THANKS" FOR THE GIFTS
coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights,
who does not change like shifting shadows.
James 1:17
Ever get a gift and forget to say "Thank you"?
No?
What about all those gifts from above?
Worship is one of the best ways to thank Him.
According to Scripture, the primary reason for the exodus from Egypt was precisely so that Israel might freely worship God. God commanded Moses to tell Pharaoh, "Israel is my first-born son..".Let my son go that he may worship me" ( Exodus 4:22-23)
The exodus was not simply about delivering the people from political slavery. In the end, it was about worship.
Attending the Sunday assembly is not the only way to worship. But it's a good way and an important way.
And let us not neglect our meeting together,
as some people do, but encourage and warn each other...
Hebrews 10:25
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father..."
Don't forget to say "Thanks."

Thank-you for this today. I've been having such a hard~~hard time at church lately. I will remember this post on the Sundays that I just don't want to go.Last week was amazing with Albert Lemmons,I wish every week could be like that.
Thank-you and Hugs,
Ginger
This is a really important point. God is worthy of all of our worship and praise, always. Even when times are tough and we feel like giving up. He has done so much for us and is ready to bless us in incredible new ways.
Excellent post, Clif! It's so important that we count our blessings because there are many! And He loves a thankful heart!
Blessings,
Sandi
Thanks....for a great reminder!
Sometimes when my mind is going I use the word ACTS to pray...
A Adoration
C Confession
T THANKSGIVING
S Supplication
It helps me cover all the bases!
Lovely thing to remember. To thank Him for the greatest gift we will ever receive.
I was astonished to hear a radio announcer grumble that people say "thanks" too freely, too often.
Then, I realized his intent -that "thanks" has become an automatic response, with little or no feeling.
That really saddened me; tho' I fear he may be right.
May we never become that busy or burdened. Wonderful post, Clif!
Great post, Clif - a reminder to give thanks and praise to the One who gave us the greatest gift of all - Salvation through His Son.
thank you for this sweet reminder Cliff!!
Happy Spiritual Sunday!!
Ruth
It really changes everything when we remember to thank Him! He knows what's good for us.
