FATHER’S DAY

Sunday, June 15, 2008

First and foremost today is the Lord’s Day. It’s Sunday. That comes first. And then next, this is the day we celebrate as Father’s Day. Father’s Day is a good day. I like it. I’m a father. Don’t ask me why, but I always just wanted a son and a daughter and that’s what I have. I had (they have all passed away) four brothers and two sisters and that was great. But I just asked God for a son and a daughter and that’s what I have. They are great people—not perfect, but very, very good. They have never caused us one day of regret. So today—Father’s Day, I am thrilled to be a father!

This is one of my favorite pictures of our children when they were young.

This is a picture of our family in Hawaii where they took us for our 50th wedding anniversary.
