Can you believe it? A pool right outside my door, the weather is 112 and I can’t get in the water.
After cataract surgery they say, “Don’t swim for awhile. You don’t want to get water in your eye—especially chlorine water.”
“Ok, just keep your head above water or your eyes closed. What’s so hard about that, stupid?”
It’s not really all that hard. I just don’t want to do it. If I can’t get in—I mean in a big way, then I don’t want to do it at all. To start with I’m clumsy and I would get my head under water and my eyes would be wide open. That’s just the way I am.
So I will stay away from the water for a few more days unless it gets up to 115—and if it does, I’m going in—eye or no eye!
But I love this “seeing thing” (my vision is better than it has ever been) so I’m just lookin’ not leapin’.
