Every year around Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years I start thinking about old friends.
I’m not talking about acquaintances or just friends—but intimate friends!
The apostle Paul wrote to the Christians in Thessalonica: “We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” The word used here for “lives” is the Greek word for soul.
It happens every year—not just at this time of the year, but especially at this time.
I get very emotional when I start thinking about these special soul brothers and sisters.
We all have them—or should have, and if you do, you should be thankful!

Yes we should be thankful for these brothers and sisters in our lives.
I got my first item from Thomas Nelson. We've started listening, it is an audio of the New Testament.
I'm thankful that I still have so many of my old friends - maybe I should say "long-time" friends, it sounds a little better! ;-)
Yes, I long to see these friends during the holidays, as well as my family!

Hi clif, I received an early birthday card from my "real" sister today and it was so beautiful and the underlined words meant so much that it made me get teary eyed.
So very special - sister relationships.

My main man Paul :). I am with you Clif, I think of my soul sisters and brothers during this time of the year, some I've lost touch with but I still hold dear to my heart and I pray for them. Wonderful post! :)
