I have loved books since,"See Dick." "See Jane." "See Spot run."
I fell in love with the Carnegie Library. It was on the corner next to the first school I attended.
I read and review many books. I am a book reviewer!
Do you like to read? I hope so. I believe it is a necessary part of growing and maturing in life.
"If you can read this, thank a teacher." Anonymous
"Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body." Joseph Addison
"Reading is a basic tool in the living of a good life." Mortimer J. Adler
"There are worse crimes than burning books. One of them is not reading them." Joseph Brodsky
"When I got my library card, that was when my life began." Rita Mae Brown

A rare thing has happened. No one has wanted to receive a free copy of MORNING SUNSHINE! --How To Radiate Confidence And Feel It Too by Robin Meade. This is surprising to me. I made two negative comments about the book in my review. Evidently this turned people away from it. I could just move on--and will. But I hate for you to miss this good book just because of my comments. Please take a second look and sign up. Your chances of winning are huge. If you and only four others sign up, guess what? Any way I shuffle the names you will WIN! Why not go for it?

Cliff, reading your post about Carnegie Libraries made me remember my own growing up in Lodi, California, we had one there. I still remember scanning the magical shelves! Yes, books are magic I believe....Lori
Clif,
Libraries have always fascinated me. From the old card catalogs and shelves upon shelves of new discoveries just waiting to be made, simply by sitting down and letting it all play out in your mind.

Cliff, your reviews are powerful! I'm not going for the book because I'd have no time to read it; it'd just sit there waiting to be dusted!
I've also always loved libraries, especially when I was in grade school...by high school, libaries meant work. Okay, I'll sign up to win the book...I don't think I remembered to mention it when I left a comment, but I'm always open to read anything you would recommend. If I win, I'll be very appreciative...thanks for the reminder!
God bless,
Mary
Great quotes!
I'll check out that book review you mentioned here.
Thanks for your visit to Family Fountain and nice comment on "Woe is Me."
I just added a comment on the book review for a chance to win it. Thanks. WB
Cliff: Thank you for the kind comment on my blog....it is indeed a small world, Lodi (and Stockton) are so close to my heart, hopefully will move back if the Lord finds a way! Blessings, Lori
Hi Clif,
Please put my name in the hat for Morning Sunshine.

I too remember Dick and Jane books with great fondness, reading cover to cover in one sitting. In fact I remember learning the alphabet and how the letters sounded. My grade one teacher had her husband build a gazebo in the corner as a reading nook, what pleasure to be able to finish my work and get to read. Put me in the mix for Morning Sunshine.
