The economy is bad, bad, bad.But don't tell the people out at Desert Ridge Marketplace that.
I don't think they will believe you.
I let Charlotte out of the car and then drove around until I could find a parking place.
There were people all over the place.
The restaurants were full inside and out on the patios. Mothers, fathers, children and grandparents were going in and out of the stores. People were out in front of the theater buying tickets.
Is the economy bad. Yes, I guess it is. But if you are trying to find a parking place or a seat in a restaurant at Desert Ridge you find yourself scratching your head and wondering, "Where do these people get their money?"
I did find a parking place and we did find a place to sit at Fat Burger.
We get our money from Social Security. I don't know about all those other people at Desert Ridge.

I know exactly what you mean Clif. I met another blogger at Paradise Bakery in Desert Ridge earlier this week. It was early though so it wasn't as crowded as you describe ...yet.
But as I waited for my friend, the conversation of the two mothers sitting in a booth with their children was about selling some of their gold for cash. :)
Good Afternoon Clif, It does make you wonder, doesn't it? It is that way here in the Atlanta area when you go out to eat. The restaurant parking lots are just packed.
My older brother has been offered a job in San Jose and I will be helping him move (from here near Atlanta) so I am taking a blog break. I do have a post ready for Spiritual Sundays though and I'll be visiting with all of you.
I hope you and Charlotte have a very good weekend.
I have wondered that myself...while I was on vacation in FL. Tee Hee.
Oh Clif ~ I am catching up on your blog and laughing while reading Frick's Frank and your beverage of choice! My son would call that a suicide when you mix pops together like that! I never knew an adult who did it though :) LOL
For Desert Ridge I wonder things like that ....where do these people get all this shopping $? It is a wonder
Have a blessed weekend! I will see you for Spiritual Sundays tomorrow my friend
Or maybe it's a way of coping for their stressful needs? Or a habit that is just hard to break. Shop!shop! Til you drop. God bless.
