We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in 2008. Our children helped us celebrate with an all expense paid all arranged vacation In Hawaii.

No kiddin’ I like barbecue!
Even though Dickey’s Barbecue has been around (somewhere) since 1941 they are new to Scottsdale.
Their new place is just a few blocks from where we go to church, so we stopped by there last Sunday.
Yes, it’s good—very good!
Not too big. Not too formal—just good food!
I had pulled pork, Cole slaw and barbecue beans. Next time I am going for the ribs, waffle fries and barbecue beans. And then after that, I will have to cut back for awhile. I’m not suppose to eat too much of this kind of food. But as my friend Paul Covey would say, “From where I’m standing I can see the end of the off ramp. Too late to start throwin’ on the brakes now.”
