"Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter--when you see the naked, to clothe him and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard." Isaiah 58:7-8
It's not enough to simply think nice thoughts about others; we need to express them. As the old saying puts it: "Love is not love until you give it away." We should get up each morning with an attitude that says: "I'm going to make somebody else happy and meet their need today." Something supernatural happens when we get our eyes off ourselves and turn to the needs of those around us. When you reach out to the hurting people, God makes sure you are always blessed in abundance.

Hi Cliff,
Loved this scripture! Mr Osteen is so right when he says that something supernatural happens when we get our eyes off of ourselves and on others. Our Savior did when He went to the cross for us!By this selfless act I am now free! Free to serve Him by serving others. Thank you for this most inspiring post, and thank you for this beautiful music.
Blessings,
Sue
A lot is hurting not only with this economy but spiritually. We are to be the salt of the earth as commanded by the Lord. Thank you for reminding us that we don't keep our blessings but instead, we are to share them, much more with actions with love that comes from Him. Have a great Sunday bro. Clif and God bless you and sister Charlotte.
Can you just imagine all the goodness that would occur if everyone would do what this scripture tells us. Wayne and I enjoy watching Joel Osteen. Well he watches it and I listen as I get ready for church.

This was a great post and so true. How truly blessed I always am when I give of myself to others and dwell less on myself. I do like the idea of thinking about this first thing in the morning before I begin my day. Often times I get busy and before I know it I haven't done much of anything at all. Thanks for sharing this. Blessings, Debbie
Love is not love til you give it away....WOW! So very true Clif. May we love until our love tanks are empty each day and watch as the Lord fills us up more and more!! :)
Bless you
I like this, it is so true!

Thank you for this Clif, I have been thinking about volunteering more, I rarely do, so this spurs me in the right direction.
Loved the picture!
Hi Clif,
I love that beautiful scripture. I like the part that says something supernatural happens...it is supernatural to look beyond our ourselves, to put others first, and to give sacrifically. It is a daily decision to be giver, looking for those in need and want, and to do something to ease their plight. There is always someplace we can serve, or offer money, clothes, food, whatever we have been given, to meet the needs of people in need. I pray God helps me to that every day.
God bless,
Mary
Oh this is so true. I have been thinking along these lines lately and it is always nice to see things worded so beautifully.
Absolute truth.
Susan
Thanks for the suggestion, Clif, to make each day a choice of creating happiness for others. I hope that you have a happy Sunday.
Hi Clif,
Great post today. I love getting up every day and setting a goal to make someone else happy! Isn't that what love is all about? That is what the Lord would expect of us, isn't it? It is especially good for someone who is a shut-in because it helps to get their minds off themselves; very theraputic. I know because I have been there myself. Thanks for sharing and have a beautiful Sunday.
Blessings,
Sandi
Thank you for this timely prompt; and, as always, your uplifting messages!
Hoping you and Charlotte have a joyous new week!

Great post, Clif! Thanks!
Thanks for the precious reminder.
Good attitude .... God sure knows something about what we need!
Yes, I believe Love is a verb & not a noun. We are Jesus' hands & feet as part of the body of Christ.
