I like the way counselor, David Seamands, summed up his career. I read this summary in Philip Yancey's excellent book, What's so Amazing About Grace?"Many years ago I was driven to the conclusion that the two major causes of most emotional problems among evangelical Christians are these: the failure to understand, receive, and live out God's unconditional grace and forgiveness; and the failure to give out that unconditional love, forgiveness, and grace to other people...We read, we hear, we believe a good theology of grace. But that's not the way we live. The good news of the Gospel of grace has not penetrated the level of our emotions."
We desperately need the hope that only grace can bring to this jaded world.

still trying to wrap my brain around grace... =)
It's sad that many Christians today are caught in a web of legalism. I've been a Christian for many years now and I'm just beginning to grasp what grace really is.
Blessings,
Joan
Thank you, Clif! His grace is amazing. ;)
I never had a problem wtih grace...but letting go of the fear and shame because of what happened...took so long. I've learned He's gentle...and patient...and I am soo soo grateful for that. have a great weekend Cliff...☺
I wonder, is it the sheer magnitude, seeming impossibility that makes us shrink from even TRYING to emulate His grace ... to pay it forward?
You're right, of course-- we must remain hopeful, and I think, courageous.
Another way of saying, It's the walk and not the talk.
I thank the Lord daily for his grace. I just love that word~~GRACE~~
Blessings,
Ginger
