GIVING ADVICE

Monday, August 13, 2007

Karl Rove will be leaving Washington and returning to Texas. He worked with George W. Bush to help him be elected Governor of Texas and then President of the United States. He has been called “The Architect” by the President and referred to as Bush’s brain by the press. He will be missed!

What did Karl Rove really do? He gave advice. That’s something we all like to do, don’t we? Sure we do. We give advice on anything and everything. We do it with out hesitation or apology. Are we educated in everything? Nope. Have we had experience in everything? No. Do we just naturally know about everything? No. In fact the truth is, we know very little. But what the heck, nobody else knows it all either.

Would I be willing to step into Mr. Rove’s shoes if the President should call? Absolutely. Why not? I went to college in Texas. “But Clif you’ve had no experience as a politician.”

“I was a preacher for fifty years.”
