I know not, but God knows;
Oh, blessed rest from fear!
All my unfolding days
To Him are plain and clear.
Each anxious, puzzled "why?"
From doubt or dread that grows,
Finds answer in this thought:
I know not, but He knows.
I cannot, but God can;
Oh, balm for all mycare!
the burden that I drop
His hand will lift and bear.
Though eagle pinions tire,
I walk where once I ran,
This is my strength to know
I cannot, but He can.
I see not, But God sees;
Oh, all sufficient light!
My dark and hidden way
To Him is always bright.
My strained and peering eyes
May close in restful ease,
And I in peace may sleep;
I see not, but He sees.

So glad that we don't have to know all or see all. We just have to know and see the One who does. A beautiful poem.
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing this poem with us for Spiritual Sundays.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful sentiment with us. Also thank you for your comment on my post today. I really do appreciate it and I needed it today so it was God's timing! Have a blessed weekend, following Charlotte around HEE HEE! Lori
I really like that....But God....that's the best...no matter what....but God...He makes all the difference
Indeed! God knows, we don't. It is not always easy to remember that -- or to act (or not act/react) with that in mind.
This is such a reassuring poem. I'm glad you shared it and I'm glad you're back to sharing on Spiritual Sundays.
Love,
Charlotte
